This Privacy Policy explains how MK Innovations ("YallaSheal," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the YallaSheal mobile application and related services (the "Service"). We operate in the United Arab Emirates and handle personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).
1. Information we collect
- Account & contact information — your name, email address, and mobile number, provided when you register or update your profile.
- Location information — with your permission, your device's precise location, used to show vendors near you, estimate distance and pickup times, and enable curbside handover. You can disable location in your device settings; some features will be limited.
- Vehicle information — the license plate, emirate, and vehicle details you add, so vendors can identify your car at curbside pickup.
- Order information — the items you order, order history, pickup details, and any notes or gift-recipient details you enter.
- Payment information — card payments are processed on a secure hosted page by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number; we receive only a payment confirmation and reference.
- Device & usage information — a push-notification token and basic device identifiers used to deliver order updates, plus app usage/diagnostic data used to operate and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To show nearby vendors, take and process your orders, and enable curbside pickup.
- To process payments and issue receipts through our payment provider.
- To send order status updates and service notifications.
- To operate our rewards, referral, and gifting features.
- To provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the Service:
- Vendors you order from receive the details needed to prepare and hand over your order (e.g. your name, order, and vehicle/plate for curbside).
- Service providers that operate on our behalf, including our payment processor, cloud hosting, push-notification, and mapping providers.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Location
We request location access to find vendors near you, calculate distance/ETA, and support curbside pickup. You control this permission in your device settings and can revoke it at any time.
5. Push notifications
With your permission we send notifications about your orders and account. You can turn these off in your device settings.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for any period required to meet legal, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account from within the app (Profile → Settings), or contact us at info@mkinnovations.ae.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
